San Fran to redwoods

A couple more facts about San Francisco. They are famous for:
1. Tourism
2. Financial
3. Technology
4. Shopping Many tourists come into town thinking the temperature will be very warm however they find out that San Francisco is rather cool so they need an extra coat or sweatshirt to keep warm. The average summer temperature of the Pacific Ocean is 55 degree due to the cold currents from the north. To earthquake proof the buildings in the city, the builders are trying to place ball bearings and pistons underneath the buildings so the building can move with the movement of the earthquake and cause less damage to each building.
Our first stop was at Pier 39 where the seals live. They had been on an island, but after an earthquake, they moved onto Pier 39 and hopped on the boats in the marina. Boat owners weren't too fond of having seals on their boats so they moved out of the marina. City fathers looked at moving the seals, but when they found how much the tourists enjoyed viewing them, they decided to leave them alone.
Then we drove to Muir Woods, a National Monument with ancient redwood trees. The trees are up to 379 feet talk with an age of 2,000 years. They are truly impressive evidence that God is truly the creator of the universe.
From there, we headed back through San Francisco to Visalia, California where we are spending the night.
